Team Standings
After five weeks of the North American Corporate Chess League’s eighth season, Symetra maintains a sturdy lead in an otherwise competitive league leaderboard.
With 46.5 team points, Symetra leads ahead of second place – Google – A with 42.5 points. In 3rd-6th place with 40+ points are: Deloitte (40.5), PricewaterhouseCoopers (40.5), Capital One – A (40), and Jane Street (40).
Symetra, PwC, and Jane Street can all become brand NACCL champions, while Google, Deloitte, Capital One, and the Susquehanna International Group have all tasted victory in previous seasons.
Check out the full team standings here. The top four scores for each company make up the team score.
Individual Standings
At the sole lead of the individual standings is GM Andrey Stukopin of Symetra with 12.5 points out of 15. He suffered his first loss of the league against GM Andrew Tang of SIG in an interesting game that is annotated below. In second place is GM Vladimir Belous of Symetra, followed by GM Andrey Baryshpolets (PwC), FM David Peng (Jane Street), and Thanga Manickam (Google – A).
With many team and individual prizes and such tight competition, there is everything to play for in the final week!
