Team Standings
At the halfway mark of the North American Corporate Chess League’s eighth season, Symetra stands atop the leaderboard at 30 team points. This is an amazing score, bolstered by four very strong players on the Symetra team: GM Andrey Stukopin (8.5), IM Irakli Beradze (7.5), GM Vladimir Belous (7), and IM Yannick Kambrath (7).
Many other top companies and teams are by no means out of the race for first place. Furthermore, there are many other titled players competing in season 8, including GM Andrew Tang (SIG), who had to miss this week due to the ongoing U.S. Championship, GM Andrey Baryshpolets (PricewaterhouseCoopers), IM Michael Bodek (Lyft), IM Craig Hilby (Capital One), IM Kyron Griffith (Lyft), IM Ritvars Reimanis (Google A), and many FIDE and National Masters.
Tied for second place are Google A and Capital One with 26.5 points, while PwC (26), Deloite (25.5), Jane Street (25.5), IBM (25.5), and Ernst & Young (25) round out the top 8 teams after week 3. The full team standings at “half time” can be seen here.
Individual Standings
In the individual standings, GM Andrey Stukopin (Symetra) maintains a commanding score of 8.5/9, while IM Irakli Beradze (Symetra), Saurav Suman (Deloitte), and Vikram Raja (Torchlight) lead the chasing pack at 7.5 points.
